A space to discover & develop talent
We are passionate about developing our people and helping to build capabilities across all levels of our business. We do this in a number of ways, including:
Tools and resources
- Training and career development tools: We facilitate regular training along with a range of career development programmes available for our people. This includes PepsiCo University, which offers online courses allowing colleagues to up-skill at the touch of a button, and myDevelopment, which uses AI to match colleagues to full-time roles or short-term assignments, empowering personal development by giving greater visibility around the world.
Talent programmes
- Apprenticeship scheme: We have our own apprenticeship programme, which has been running for over 7 years and is open to people of all ages, not just school leavers. We’ve trained over 500 apprentices in that time, increasing our talent pipeline and improving the skills and capabilities of our workforce in the process.
- Talent development scheme: We have a dedicated talent development scheme, specifically tailored for our frontline. This includes a structured programme of learning to proactively develop skills in preparation for management opportunities.
- Personal development programme: We operate a long-standing personal development programme designed specifically for women, called 'Strategies for Success'. This is specially designed to accelerate the careers of talented female middle managers.
- Leadership programme: We are driving action on race and ethnicity with a leadership programme designed to develop our ethnically diverse talent.

A space for people to be themselves
We empower our employees to champion our diversity and inclusion agenda, and our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are at the heart of embedding it in our culture.
Employee Resource Groups
- EQUAL: Promote dignity and respect to allow all LGBTQ+ colleagues to bring their full selves to work. From developing PepsiCo UK’s Active Ally guide to attending local Pride events, this group is driving important conversations around LGBTQ+ issues.
- Ethnicity & Culture: Help drive awareness and education about all the different cultures within PepsiCo and help us guard against unconscious bias. The team also play an integral role in helping us celebrate all the festivals and events that matter to our people, including Black History Month, Diwali and Ramadan to name a few.
- Green Teams: Live our PepsiCo Positive values by inspiring, empowering and engaging our colleagues to make a positive impact at work, at home and in their communities.
- Ignite: Social mobility group who ensure everyone can thrive in their career, regardless of their start in life, and help build better opportunities for all.
- Mind & Body: Help us to look after our physical and mental wellbeing, while also providing first line support for mental health issues.
- Neurodiversity: Raise awareness of different neurodivergent attributes and needs throughout the business, to allow our neurodivergent colleagues to feel recognized and supported.
- Parents & Carers: Played an instrumental role in the evolution of our parental leave policy. From their award-winning maternity leave buddy return scheme to addressing topics such as baby loss with a series of sensitive and informative events, they represent all parents and carers with a strong voice.
- Women's Inclusion Network (WIN): Drive gender equality and female empowerment. As a business, we’re committed to achieving gender equality and increasing female representation in our workforce, and have already hit our target to reach gender parity in all management roles by 2025, two years early. The WIN team are helping drive progress by building greater connectivity across the business, tackling issues that are important to female colleagues and working with members and allies to drive positive change.
